Sadly, those drugs came from Europe and the EEC pulled the pin because people were dying from the injections. The substitute mix has (apparently) successfully restored the lawyers revenue stream, because if the ultimate deterrent is a bit too deterring, human rights are involved. Dogs, cats, horses and criminals are entitled to a swift, painless and dignified exit. People with agonising terminal illnesses can just wait and suffer, (the official viewpoint) and money is no object in prolonging their suffering Mix politicians, bureaucrats, and the legal system ~ stuff will happen. |

Better to do a well aimed shot through the head for it to be instant. Fair comment but the head is a smaller target than the trunk, there may be some bullets missing the head as a target. I think the firing squads the poms used to execute 5 of our soldiers in WW1 aimed at the heart. Be pretty untidy a fusillade of bullets to the head might fit the unusual bit of cruel and unusual criteria for executions. |
