1379807 2014-07-21 06:43:00 hey guys,

Simple question. Which place has the cheapest ex lease gaming laptops. I am looking for a laptop that will run games like bf4 and thief with around 40fp, with decent ish graphics. Looking around the 800-1000 mark. Must include warranty please! If it isnt avaliavble ast this price, what is?

Cheers.

1379808 2014-07-21 07:23:00 Ex-lease? They tend to be business laptops.
Gaming laptops is an oxymoron anyway.....

1379810 2014-07-21 09:48:00 DeSade, I see that it is a alright laptop, but maybe a non u spec processor or gddr5 vram would be better? darkoverlord123 (16996)
1379811 2014-07-21 12:08:00 An ultra low power CPU is going to be the least of your worries. Finding a laptop with a GPU capable of hitting 40fps in Bf4 is going to be your main problem. Granted that you're going to need less power to run something on a 1366x768 panel (I'm assuming you aren't even going to aim for anything better).

Edit: It would appear that the 840m should be just good enough: www.notebookcheck.net

Note that the benchmark would have been run in singleplayer and you should expect a significant performance drop off in multiplayer.

1379812 2014-07-21 21:39:00 You get what you pay for Overload and no one leases gaming machines.
I brought that one because of the price point and the fact you can upgrade the ram. The GPU was just enough as was the CPU.

1379813 2014-07-22 06:52:00 Best you'll do is a 2nd hand one on TradeMe etc if you want something cheap. As the others already said, there is not really any such thing as an 'ex-lease gaming laptop' Agent_24 (57)
1379814 2014-07-22 08:54:00 Hmm, fair enough, Thanks for your input everyone. Trademe would be best bet. Thanks anyway!!! darkoverlord123 (16996)
1379815 2014-07-22 21:46:00 If there is a recent, good spec., ex lease laptop available cheap it is a safe bet it is a total dog. Good laptops tend to stay on lease for quite a while. Of course if it is shackled by W8, it could be a different story. Exorcise the OS and upgrade to vista and it might go much better. ;) R2x1 (4628)
