| 397907 | 2005-10-20 09:00:00 | The months of Oct and Nov Cds wont work in my puter . All the months up till then will open in my cd player in my puter, but those two months won't . I can play music cd's, cd's I have burnt, all my old net guide ones, but not those . Is anyone else having problems? Running a 1 year old compaq, with xp and cd burner/cd . Netguide were brilliant when I emailed them, and sent me replacement cd, but as that won't play either, I am wondering if it is my cd drive, but don't want to loose my puter to the repairers if I don't have to . |

| 397910 | 2005-10-20 15:40:00 | What do you mean by won't work? They do not autoplay, you cannot explore the contents of the CD or the CD doesn't spin up in the drive? What happens when you go into My Computer and right click on the CD drive and select "Autoplay" or "Explore"? If you can view the CD contents with Windows Explorer, try double clicking on the index.html file and see what happens. | Jen (38) | ||

Jen, when I put it in the cd drive, it runs for a little, then stops, (so it is spinning, just not reading), say that nothing is on them, no they don't autoplay, cannot explore, well you can, but nothing is there . Usually when I put in a cd, it comes up with a name instead of e drive in my computer, and it isn't even doing that . No I haven't changed anything in the puter, other than windows updates, that normally happen, and it plays nearly all my other cds, so guess it may just be the cd drive getting tired and needing replacing . As for whoever offered web space to upload something so I could download, thanks heaps, but I was trying to update my Firefox to the newer version, and on dial up in a rural town, downloads are slllllllllowwwwwww . LOL But thanks for the offer anyway, it is appreciated . |

My only solution was to get another drive . Looks like that may be my solution too . If it had of been one I burnt, I would of just thought it was me doing something wrong, but now with 2 netguide cds, I am pretty sure it is back to the shop . Thank goodness for extended warranties . |
