397629 2005-10-19 04:54:00 Go to the Christchurch Public Library and go to the top floor. There is a large collection of books on Linux. Linux books are not like most books about the "other OS". They are not just printed versions of the so called "help" files produced by MS. They are written by people who have used the software, and most of them can write well, too. ;) There are issues of a couple of good Linux magazines, too. Graham L (2)
397630 2005-10-19 05:01:00 Libraries have generic manuals for Linux, or you may be able to pick up a Fedora Core 4 manual as well. Heap and heaps of information on the internet. Some good sites to start with are:

The Unofficial Fedora FAQ (http://www.fedorafaq.org/)

FedoraNEWS (fedoranews.org) and its Tips section (fedoranews.org)

Fedorazine (http://www.fedorazine.com/)

You learn the most from just checking everything out, playing with and enjoying the system. :)
