398008 2005-10-21 01:23:00 The other problem I’ve struck a couple of times is that when I’ve actually managed to get someone, they don’t speak English and I only speak English. Not helpful at all. :(

You could always book someone on the help desk that speaks English, I know it's not a common language now days but they may have someone fluent in it ;)

My e-mail receiving is now going slow, not just sending... looks like they are heading for melt-down

398010 2005-10-21 08:42:00 Hmmmmm, well, if I could find someone that spoke the lingo It could probably solve all the problems???

As an aside, I rang the Dell help line recently looking for a laptop screen. Anyway, I finally got answered and again I couldn’t understand the young lady I was talking to. After a great deal of pigeon English, pigeon Maori, Anglo Saxon and hand gestures I found I was actually talking to a help line answering service in India. Greaaaaaaat!
Anyway, I finally extracted from her the help line number for New Zealand, which just so happened to be the number I called to get her!

Thank you Mr Dell!

Dahhhhhh!

The ability to speak English as a first language does not mean they have any clue as far as your PC problem is concerned.

And I thought everyone knew Dell support is in India. In fact most call centres are in India now.
