398404 2005-10-22 19:48:00 Is it possible to have two address books in outlook express.
My wife is filling it up with choir people!

398405 2005-10-22 20:05:00 Could you, maybe, set up a separate account for her to use in OE for choir matters only? Or just for her own use?
Read about it here:

support.microsoft.com

There's two options there; a new account for her or a new "identity".

Sorry, but I can't find info on adding new address books but hope this helps.

398407 2005-10-23 01:31:00 Could I perhaps use both O/E and Outlook,or is it one or the other?. Cicero (40)
398408 2005-10-23 03:20:00 You can use both. Murray P (44)
398409 2005-10-23 03:34:00 Why not have one person use Thunderbird as their email client which will separate out the address books? Jen (38)
398410 2005-10-23 04:54:00 Unless you both have your own email addresses it is probably not a good idea to use a new Identity or another mail program. You messages will be spread across different mail folders.

In Outlook Express why not just create another folder in the address book to keep you addresses seperate.
With Address book open go to New/ New Folder or File/new Folder.

398411 2005-10-23 06:53:00 I agree with Safari. I keep about 4 different address book files, and also have all addresses in the main folder.

I notice my wife has separate folders in OE below the Deleted Items icon. She drags emails into these folders so she can keep work, school, gymnastics and Winston in individual boxes.

You have now gained a glimpse of life in this house. :help:

398412 2005-10-23 08:15:00 Thank you all for suggestions.
Is there an easy way of transferring names and email address's to a new folder, there about 150.
Using new contact I have to remember the spelling of names and emaill address in one go?
I will keep looking for an easy way meantime.

398413 2005-10-23 08:28:00 May not be the fastest but you can just click on the address and drag to the folder you want it in and let it go. Safari (3993)
