| 398367 | 2005-10-22 06:42:00 | my sister did something to my pc!! i went into yahoo chatrooms and i couldn't see any messages. i enabled java script on my mozilla browser,but i still couldnt see anything! so i went to system restore, however nothing came up. My sister said she had just finished using the AVG to scan and did nothing else. however i dont believe her, because i dont have system restore anymore! do i have to reboot my pc, if so, any suggestions will be appreciated. | nativenz2004 (7235) | ||

But, no, there were no errors. it didnt do anything. the box was unticked. i went to the site that u gave, followed the instructions to c if it was working. NOTHING. i tried "helpctr -regserver", nothing. to make things worse the "performance and maintenance" and "task scheduler" icons, werent even in the control panel! my search and help and support don't work as well. FRUSTRATING!! my sister reckons she deleted some viruses from the AVG scan, do u think it has something to do with this? | nativenz2004 (7235) | ||

Then run hijackthis again, in safe mode and tick the previous entries. And then get this www.ewido.net download it and run it. And Run this in normal XP, and in safe mode too. Or this dl.filekicker.com And run this in normal XP, and safe mode after. Install and run this. Then click on scan. And then select the 3rd - 7th option under the utilities menu. And then get a decent firewall. |
