| 398295 | 2005-10-21 23:23:00 | Hi My friend got given a Dell optiplex gx1 running windows 95, he wanted to reinstall windows and rather than using the windows disk and booting off the CD ROM drive, tried to manually delete the files. So now he can not get into windows. I am trying to access the BIOS and change what is it going to boot off but am not sure how to get into it to change it-Could somebody please help with this? I am guessing it is an F button.. Thanks Mike |

| 398298 | 2005-10-22 00:13:00 | Ok-Thanks. I have changed the boot up to CD ROM, but it says that there is no hard drive, or that it is corrupt etc. I cant make it so the primary boot is CD ROM, just secondary. With my computer I make it primary. Having no Hard Drive-i.e having hard drive as secondry- shouldnt effect reinstalling windows... should it? If so, what shall u make it? thanks |
