| 398142 | 2005-10-21 10:13:00 | Hi...I'm just having a try with Sygate after years with Zone Alarm. I can't find any references to port forwarding in Tools and I'm still wading through the manual with no luck. Could some kind person let me know where it is and also point me to somewhere I can read up on the topic of ports. Thanks for any help with this.....Ken :) |

Pinholing is anothet term for the same thing and, it's really a function you set up in your router and allow a rule in the firewall as necessary (ie' when it asks for a rule or when it blocks the attempt. BTW, bittorent or P2P problems is it? If so, the answer may well be in the client programmes help or options. |

Then scroll down the list off apps until you find the app you want to port forward, then right click "advanced". And there you go.... the UDP/TCP and more should be there in that window. Nice to have a firewall that actually port forwards :) |
