| 398466 | 2005-10-23 19:10:00 | Getting an error message: "Windows cannot format this drive. Quit any disk utilities or other programs that are using this drive, and make sure that no window is displaying the contents of the drive. Then try formatting again" What do I do to stop getting this? BOOT off the XP CD. It will go to the install options, there you can delete existing partitions and reformat. THEN run your recovery CDs. |

| 398468 | 2005-10-23 22:58:00 | If you have a floppy drive, you could download madboot boot floppy (www.tucows.com) and start off that, selecting GDisk to wipe out the linux partitions (use remove all partitions on drive) and then use Gdisk to create a single FAT32 partition. Of course this wipes out all data on the hard drive... |
