| 398311 | 2005-10-22 03:11:00 | now, i could be wrong am only goin from memory but it might be that particular board which has a jumper for duron type chips or athlon/semperon.... chck the book out or if it dont tell ya go online and find the manual I have avague feelign that when I had that particular issue it was with that board checked that nothing, the manual says automatically recognizes chip, just a matter of reseting the jumper for FSB thanks |

| 398312 | 2005-10-22 03:17:00 | remove and reinsert the battery for the bios. Sometimes (and I aint sure why) this fixes it. Just copy the settings over in case. No luck, We are starting to come to the conclusion this board has a great future as a frisbee |

Just check with the motherboard manual manual that there are no other odd jumpers that can be utilised. But time to get a different m/b, preferably under warranty. They can do odd things, I had a motherboard whose on-board LAN just stopped working for no reason last week .. and then it turns out that the PCI slots didn't work either :groan: |
