| 399018 | 2005-10-25 01:24:00 | When my wife's laptop boots up, down on the bottom right (System Tray) a couple of pop up balloons tell us that a wireless network is not connected...or something like that, plus another popup that I cannot recall. How do I get rid of these reminders? They are irrelevant to what is installed and (not) connected). Thanks. There must be a very simple way to turn these things off but I cannot find how to do it. |

John & CYAbro - thanks. Looks like a registry edit job, so I will do a System Check Point first. Typical of Windows to put an annoying pop up and then make it difficult to correct. |

It has been awhile since I have edited the Registry but it wasn't so hard after all. |

And also the other thing - can't tell you where to disable that cause you said you couldn't remeber what it was. This disables the spefic thing rather than the general windows notification service that is alerting you. |
