I thought I might have a look at trying to learn this programming language now that I've got Gentoo up & running. Anyone tried this? and if so what tutorial would they recommend. It could be an interesting challenge - might keep the old grey matter ticking over. |

| 399717 | 2005-10-27 08:55:00 | ah both actaully. i also go to this codecutters in town by the local polytech. a tutor who takes comp science gives some spare time to the group on a sunday once a month and he shows us a few things, hands out some resources. we have blackboard so we access some resources online. i also have a book, which is used in the first year uni course which i will be doin next year. hes teaching us the basics, which is really good so we can get on to the more advanced stuff later on. there are quite a few tuts on java on the net. they are quite the same. i look at them occasionally for something new. |
