399260 2005-10-25 20:05:00 Just bought a new notebook for my wife, XP home etc.
To write files to a CD ( in windows explorer) I usually right click - send to - CD , get a ballon that says you have files waiting to be written etc etc , Always worked well for me.
This version of XP has a product called Sonic installed in the send to menu,
ok ok I think I can live with this, but its an application that offers far too much, audio, dvd, backups etc etc , all I want to do is write a file to a CD. I get thought the jungle and the damn thing doesn't like CD RW disks or maybe needs special configuration and it is slow .
Grrrrrrrrrrrr. The old XP system worked well , why change it ?
I could unistall it but how would I re install the old XP CD writing addon to windows explorer?

Imapi CD Burning Com Service and right click it and select properties set it to Manual and start it if it is stopped.
That should do it for you.
uninstall sonic
