| 399245 | 2005-10-25 18:31:00 | Hello, I'm interested in a program that will keep my registry in good health, but that I don't have to pay for. I tried one program before but I think it was a major cause of some headaches (free too). I'm hoping that maybe it'll fix this little issue I've been having, since I believe it was changes to the registry that's caused it. Anything you'd reccomend? |

| 399249 | 2005-10-28 17:44:00 | ccleaner also has a registry cleaner in it . And its free . Does a better job, than most I've seen . As some registry cleaners, can totally kill / screw your system . And delete valid registry entries . The latest version of cleaner also has a open in regedit option after u click on issues and click on scan for issues . ie: if u select this, it'll take you to the entry in regedit . Instead of u trying to find it . You just have to make sure you know what you're doing / deleting in the registry! |

| 399252 | 2005-10-28 21:26:00 | Getting another registry editor is not likely to fix any problems caused by another registry editor if the first one has removed entries that were required . If you think the registry editor caused your problems you are best to restore the backups that it should have made to see whether that improves things . All good registry editors will make backups prior to changing the registry but if yours didn't then you will have to fix the problems another way . Start a new thread with details of your version of Windows and the problems if you need more help . |
