399992 2005-10-28 07:15:00 Let call these Computers, Computer A & B

Want to setup ZoneAlarm (Free Version) so I can access, computer B through the Network securely. Am I doing this correctly???

These are the steps I took to set it up network

Click Start then Run from Computer A
Type in "command"
Once you get a command prompt type in "ipconfig/all"

My IP address for computer A is 192.168.0.3

Now I open ZoneAlarm on the computer B, click on Firewall then click on the Zones Tab at the top of the page. Now click on Add Tab at the bottom of the page and then click on IP Address from drop down menu. Now I add 192.168.0.3 into the box provided and Description for Computer B. (Example: Anna Computer) Now click Ok

Are these only steps I need to take to make secure connection to computer B??? Would appreciate any help.

399993 2005-10-28 08:19:00 Should also say, Computer A connects to Internet through Router and Computer B is connected to the Router using Wireless Network Card. Annanz (3044)
399994 2005-10-28 08:56:00 sounds like u have the right idea, if a & b connect to router, just set up a trusted zone which includes the other pc ip. dbs (8785)
399995 2005-10-28 10:12:00 ZA normally picks up the ip addy used however default setting is normally intenet zone. change it to trusted is normally the easiest way of doing it. tweak'e (69)
