When you can pick up a 400watt PSU and case for $35-50 then chances are its not a real 400watt. Unfortunately prices is no exact indicator either. Some of the case(PSU) manufacturers will ask "how do you want the PSU marked?" when ordering a container of say 350watt's. I have experienced this (I won't mention names). Certainly not a practice I condom. If you want to be sure that what you ordered is what you get, buy a trusted brand such as Antec or Enermax, but you will find these are often 50% more expensive than the unknown brands. I am not suggesting all unknown brands fall into the remarked category, but there are plenty that do. |
