401079 2005-11-01 08:12:00 Hi Team

I'm trying to help No.1 son prepare a CD cover he's working on as a school project, and he needs a particular style of font. I have a commercial CD that has 2600 fonts on it, and I would like to preview them directly off the CD.

Does anybody know of a free font viewer that can read off a CD and show more than just a few example characters. Ideally I'd like to be able to look at a full alphabet.

Cheers

Cheers

401082 2005-11-01 09:09:00 Most of the font CDs I have ever looked at have had a viewer on them. Jeremy (1197)

I looked there first, Googled second and then came to PF1.

I don't usually view fonts, and the viewers in the programs I use (Word etc) can only view installed fonts, otherwise I wouldn't ask. There is no way I would over 2500 fonts just to view them.

However, thanks to beama I have found and installed "The Font Thing" which does exactly what I want, and then some! Top quality freeware beama, I'll get No. 1 son to sacrifice several goats or one political correctness eradicator in your name.

But the thought is appreciated.
