2005-11-01 07:50:00 | Just typed letter into word doc. It ended with one line on second page. Now I can seem to alter things via format before I type message ,but cant seem to alter doc to get it all on one page after I have typed it. Just in case I have confused the situation, how can I now alter doc to get message on one page. Thanks folks.

2005-11-01 07:58:00 | Options Alter the page setup, check the paper size eg A4 and not letter Alter the default margins make the page slightly wider or taller by adjusting the margins to gain some room. Change the font or the text sixe. Or edit it and lose a few words :p

2005-11-01 08:17:00 | Cicero Did you try changing the bottom margin, eg making it smaller? Changing the font size should have worked too. You didn't by any chance press Enter after each line of type did you? Or did you put in a page break without knowing? Click on the Show/Hide icon to have a look. Oxie (Lyn)

2005-11-01 08:25:00 | You could also change the line spacing All the other options will successfully work as well Just how much are your margin settings set to and what font and point size are you using?

Oxie (Lyn) Thanks Lyn,Tried changing font again, when I looked in print preview,it was still on two pages,no idea I am afraid how to change margins,or how to do a page break. Spent about an hour trying to sort, thanks for your help, but I think I am a lost cause on this one,so will leave it as it is and sod it ;) |

2005-11-01 08:55:00 | Hi Cicero. Not difficult to extend the working space on the page. Click on File > Page Setup and ensure that the Margins Tab is to the front. Play around with the options. For example, I seem to recall that the left and right margins are set to about 3 something mm. I have mine set to 2 mm to avoid wasting paper......... | Scouse (83) | |
