400459 2005-10-30 19:47:00 Good morning. Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with this site and are they for real? I have read their "legal" stuff and the other statements they make re legitimacy, terms and conditions, etc., but it seems a bit suspect to me. Maybe too good to be true? k8smum (6062)

400461 2005-10-30 19:57:00 Yes it is too good to be true

The legal thing doesn't hold up, unless they are selling you the original disks as well, and at those prices even academic versions seem unlikely

Also I don't think microsoft sells their products in a downloadable form (where would you get the highly important COA from)

Also Bad english on parts of a sales site is normally a good warning

2. Basic conditions of purchasing at FirstpickStore online store
2.1. You are purchasing for our service to create a archive copy of the software.
2.4. You CANNOT register the software with the manufacturer and updates are available not for all the products;
2.5. You DO NOT receive printed license documentation;
2.6. You DO NOT receive a copy of the software on a disk; The software is delivered electronically by downloading.
2.3. You will thoroughly follow the downloading and installation instructions;
2.7. The Store will assist you with downloading and installation issues. We will not provide technical support after the software product is downloaded and installed; neither will it be available from the manufacturer of the software product.

Can it be any more obvious?

400463 2005-10-30 20:10:00 As I suspected. I'll take your advice and steer clear.
