401129 2005-11-01 21:20:00 About a year ago I reinstalled windows, and I did not format the harddrive because there are other people who use this PC with data that they could not lose (or backup) .

Ever since then every account that existed in the previous install still shows up in Documents and Settings but cannot be accessed . I just did a defragmentation, and in the report a 4 . 2Gb fragmented file showed up that's within one of the accounts that I cannot access .

Fragments------File Size------Files that cannot be defragmented
----2-----------4 . 32 GB------\Documents and Settings\Jason . ALEX\My Documents\Jason\Torrents\Where The Buffalo Roam . nrg

I'm assuming most people are going to tell me to clean install, or backup and then clean install . At the moment I don't have an extra harddrive, or any disks to burn to (and my burner doesn't work right) .

If anyone knows of a way I can gain access to these accounts and get rid of them, it'd be swell . I've full administrator access, this message comes up if I try to access any one of the four accounts from the previous install (using Windows Explorer):

C:\Documents and Settings\"account" is not accessible . Access is denied .
