401968 2005-11-04 22:23:00 i have njust got me a DSE wifi card, is there software that can let me use this as an access point?

I have aonther card that will only support WPA if it is used in "infrastructure" mode.

can i make my PC a access point and then the other card will work in infrastructure mode?

401969 2005-11-04 22:35:00 Some USB adaptors can act as stations, and access points.

Like the ones I use here. The drivers act as the AP, and also act as the firmware. So, u get more features. Everytime u update them.

BUT, If the card/usb adapter, doesnt say it can also also act an access point, you'll have to buy the AP separately.
