| 401789 | 2005-11-04 04:37:00 | panic stations last night as work pc went funny, its not currently connected to the net, last weekwe changed office round, all power off. Yesterday the monitor lost signal. thought monitor had died as pc still running. changed monitor, no change, ended up manually shutting pc down and rebooting, all is well, what made it shut or sleep? we moved pc so it is no longer in foot zone, but it doesnt have a sleep button on this work comp. what would it take to get it out of hibernate? never used hibernate or sleep before, still cannot understand what set it off to go but non active or usable? mouse was live but not able to reset monitor on? i know this is vague but so is the problem............. cant pin point what went wrong. beetle :stare: |

| 401790 | 2005-11-04 04:43:00 | Hi Beetle If this only happened once, then I wouldn't even worry about it. Rebooting often helps when the wheels appear to fall off something. :) Time to worry when it happens a few times. Something might be lose inside if you have been moving the computer around. |

I was wondering if they may have accidently set something for it to do that, thought it was just a button option but could be wrong...................... or it just went off for some reason? i dont really care, but no if it does it again ill need to fix the beep thing again.... thanxs Jen beetle |
