402294 2005-11-06 04:25:00 From an NVIDIA GeForce MX440 AGPEX card, I want to go to my home theater system . It can handle "S" and fiberoptic . . . and it won't be used for gaming .

What is the general consensus as to which has the lowest loss and will carry composite A/V signals if that's what I need . I need to send the signal about 40 feet (US or Imperial feet) and don't want to use wireless as I think that's risky in a high density home area .

I want to dedicate an older puter to playing dvd's and downfed vhf and uhf signals on my new Phillips system . (Told SONY to go to blazes . . . and bought Phillips to stay away from them after their rootkit mess) .

402295 2005-11-06 04:45:00 In terms of cost, S-Video would definetely be the way to go. Over 40ft (about 13m in metric), you won't notice significant degradation of quality, unless of course you're very picky, or you are using poor-quality cables. somebody (208)
