hi all is this normal,with in 2 sec of going on line my cpu temp jumps 10 deg, even though cpu usage is 0.im using a woosh modem and ,amd athlon xp 2600+ 2.13ghz processor |

This could either be a stopped cpu fan, a dislodged heatsink, or air gap between the cpu and the heatsink. The latter can be corrected by cleaning both cpu and heatsink and apply thermal paste to one surface before reinstalling. Artic silver is a top quality thermal paste. |

sounds peculiar that it should only happen when you go online cant say that that stresses the cpu much at all............if it was a heat issue it'd show up not just when you went online by all means........ |

yeah its a spacial annomally i think its woosh software my cpu idles at 40 deg c.then i connect to the internet it amediatly goes to 50 deg c |
