403129 2005-11-10 03:29:00 What is the acceptable temp range for a video card. My GPU temp has been about 58/59 all afternoon. The ambient GPU temp has been steady on 57.

Yes , the fan is working and the latest drivers are installed.

403130 2005-11-10 03:34:00 Thats ok, they run hotter than that. pctek (84)
403131 2005-11-10 04:10:00 Yeah mine is usually between 41 - 46 degree idle and up to 58 - 60 degrees at full load.... CS:S etc You have nothing to be too concerned about.

Cheers

403132 2005-11-10 10:32:00 hehe that temp is fine, good thing you didn't go the 6800GT way if you worry about temperature a lot as they often hit 90C.

P.S if your card gets much hotter, remove the GPU heatsink fan to let it breath (kidding).

The LE is a very low version of 6800 so it should run a lot colder with lower clocks and no ddr3 etc.

403136 2005-11-11 04:29:00 GPU temp after running VSK4 demo 64C. Yes I know that my card is the low end of the 6800 cards that is all I could afford but well worth the money.

Trevor :)
