hmm well i would ask him/her were they updating from windowsupdate site, or did they download the update/s first.
And if it was on the windowsupdate site, what was the error code that came up. (If any). |

from the site it just said .............failed......and apparently they had the update system set to autoupdate and tried to install from the little yellow 'shield' and that failed too..............oh well I told em to restore back to a time when it DID work..........aint heard back so maybe they got successful......... |

Are they installing the updates as a user with non-administrator priviledges? If so that will causes those errors |
