| 402824 | 2005-11-08 22:22:00 | Hi I have a brandnew monitor about 1 month old, it is philips 107/S6 after a while my monitor starts making keee noise. i think it can be due to resolution because the kee noise also starts up when i start playing battlefield2. my gpu is ATI x800GT. then monitor is connected via the gfx card output. |

| 402828 | 2005-11-08 23:58:00 | I've found that adjusting the refresh rate of my 17" CRT monitor eliminated the high whine that it had when the refresh rate was set at the recommended 85Hz. On XP this can be done under Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Monitor. Note too that your games can also adjust the refresh rate, which is why you will only notice it for some games. In that instance see if you can adjust the options within the game. |
