| 1393778 | 2015-02-08 05:32:00 | Cannot access set up page on a D-Link DSL-2740B Have connected via cable and typed in the required address 198.168.1.1 but the browser (all of them) say it cannot be found.Any ideas welcome.Cheers |

| 1393779 | 2015-02-08 08:02:00 | Is that a typo ?? The default IP address is http://192.168.1.1 Make sure the router is actually connecting, open a CMD type in ipconfig <press enter> Look for the default gateway. If you get 192.168.1.1 then its Ok if you get 169.X.x.x. then its not connecting. |

| 1393780 | 2015-02-08 20:37:00 | Agree, the first thing I would do is check to make sure the IP address is actually correct. Different brands have different default IP address ranges, plus if it's 2nd hand, it may have been changed to something else anyway. The most common ranges are 10.0.0.X, 10.1.1.X, 192.168.0.X and 192.168.1.X - don't assume, use ipconfig as suggested. |
