Is it possible to create NEW labels on Android mobiles?

1393670 2015-02-06 08:35:00 Just looked on our Android tablet, when you go into gmail, the Gear has been replaced by three vertical dots - Top right hand corner, when tapping them the Label options are there. wainuitech (129)
1393671 2015-02-07 11:10:00 But I think you cannot easily create a new label (and nested labels) in the Gmail App (on mobiles). I have never found a way to do so for my various labels. You need create labels on the web version, which then displays if synced to the App.

Note though - labels are Gmail's version of folders. But you can "label" each email title. Doing that displays a flag of previous label (folder) that was created.

You can also add email to labels - sometimes - by pressing the mobile's (android) menu softkey.

1393672 2015-02-19 08:15:00 Thanks. We have spent ages looking at this "three dots" menu. There is NO "Add New Label" option on it. The trouble with Google is you never know if they have just "hidden" the option.
