1393662 2015-02-06 01:08:00 What do you want to know about it? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1393663 2015-02-06 01:39:00 From memory, Wainui gave some tips & tricks on using it. Before I try it, thought it
learn what I can from those with past experience.

1393664 2015-02-06 01:50:00 Its probably changed from what you could do before. V10 lets you use video as well. And chat. And you can also xfer files.

Myself, I haven't used it for a while. Think I've only used it once, after they updated it to the first version of version 10

But, there's not much to it. Just install or run it. Give the person helping the ID and pw. And that's about it. Wait for them to log in. And tell them what the prob is

1393665 2015-02-06 02:44:00 Just adding to Speedys reply. If its a one off help, and not needed to log in remotely all the time, you get the person to download the Quick Support Version and run it. This doesn't need to be installed, its a stand alone EXE. ( see Pic)

You of course being the helper, do need to install the full version, OR if its on computers that you want access to remotely at any time then the full version gets installed, and you can set the password to what ever you want. That option is In Extra/Options/Security

The User ID number will remain the same each time (full and QS) On the QS version, while the user ID stays the same, the password changes, so the person you are helping needs to tell you the new password over the phone or however you are communicating with one another.

Then once connected you can do whats required as if sitting in front of the computer and the other person can see exactly what you are doing ( some get rather worried / excited when things start happening and they aren't touching the KB or Mouse) :)

Note: Some dont seem to understand at first that where everything falls flat on its face is if the problem is a connection /internet problem. No internet and it wont work.

1393666 2015-02-06 03:46:00 Thanks Wainui - that was exactly what I wanted - saw it somewhere on this forum before, but
couldn't find the thread.
