| 1393367 | 2015-01-30 21:37:00 | Can you plug an Android Tablet directly into a printer USB port (using a USB cable with the appropriate ends, of course)? Have you actually printed this way? SYSTEM Non-wireless printer with USB port. Samung TAB4 |

We use to use printershare play.google.com to print over the LAN to a networked printer before we got the actual App from Brother. From memory printershare only allows 20 prints for free. But it does say it will do it directly. Print on direct USB-OTG connected printers |

| 1393371 | 2015-01-31 20:34:00 | The OP asked if printing could be done by connecting an android tablet directly to a printer via USB cable. The answer to that is, I believe, NO. He/she did not ask how to print via any of the other ways of printing from a tablet. Maybe I am just being a bit pedantic this morning :) |

Maybe I am just being a bit pedantic this morning :) You are a bit, because printing from a Samsung tablet is designed to be done in a "non traditional" manner aka wirelessly. Theoretically this is also a more convenient way of printing documents from a tablet. |

| 1393373 | 2015-01-31 21:56:00 | As pointed out earlier, it can be done Tablet to USB printer. ( which is what was originally asked, not Via wireless) Theres a couple of things that need to line up. The Tablet has to be capable of supporting the printer, & you need the correct cables. While printing Via wireless to a shared /Network is the easiest, it still can be done directly. www.printershare.com android.stackexchange.com |

| 1393375 | 2015-02-01 00:45:00 | I learn a lot from your posts WT :) Never tried it myself, as our Android Tablet connects to the LAN Via wireless, and uses that to print to a brother networked printer. Its amazing the crap SWMBO prints off sometimes ;) | wainuitech (129) | ||
