1392708 2015-01-23 23:01:00 Right now my email domain hosting at www.flexihost.co.nz isn't working. My email client returns an error 0x800CC0E, I can't access their webmail control panel page, and their website www.flexihost.co.nz appears to be "down" for me. But when a couple of these websites that check for up/down check flexihost for me, they both report it as up.

So I guess I must have something wrong here? I have checked flexihost on another computer, and it is apparently down there too. Same modem/router of course. Other web pages a fine. I need some help please.

Thanks wainuitech. So you clicked on the link for flexihost in my post, and the webpage opened? It times out for me, with the message "The server at www.flexihost.co.nz is taking too long to respond" Checked right now, 1.25pm.

Just curious, what do you get if you open your browser and type in http://210.79.48.247

You should get a message
It works!

This is the default web page for this server.

The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet.

No such luck, same as before "The server at 210.79.48.247 is taking too long to respond"

Tried that, but no difference Lawrence. I had tried a direct IP address before though.

I have some extra information about the problem now, so we must be able to sort it out. Unearthed my old modem, created a dial-up connection to Xtra (phew!) and tried that. With that, I can connect to www.flexihost.co.nz ok! Also check my email via cpanel, no problem. But back on broadband with Xtra, no success.

But, I set up a Tor browser, Tor network on broadband, and that will connect to flexihost fine, checking webmail at flexihost also fine. So what is going on?

Could someone out there with Xtra as their ISP please check if they can load www.flexihost.co.nz?

1392715 2015-01-25 02:29:00 Yep it works - Xtra as ISP
