1392609 2015-01-22 21:55:00 I am trying to reset this HP Pavilion G6-2208AX notebook as the Win8.1 is badly corrupted.

When I select Troubleshoot -> Refresh or reset your PC, or use advance tools -> Reset your PC -> next

Error message says : Unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing!

I can still start up this notebook and that the 'Recovery partition' is still there!

Any other way to reset this PC? I know I can re-install Win8.1 but unfortunately I don't have to DVD media.

1392610 2015-01-22 22:11:00 Have a read of www.winhelp.us Scroll down a little, directly under the big blue picture of the Advanced options are some suggestions.

You may need to do a full system reinstall from the factory Image that's on the Laptop (it will be hidden). The problems with HP's is they may have 5-7 partitions, Windows wont see All them, any one of them broken and trouble happens.

If you decide to wipe all teh partitions, and install W8.1 from fresh, you can download the ISO from tp://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media Click on the Purple button, follow instructions, select the Version of 8.1 you are using. Don't bother looking for a product key you more than likely wont find one, its usually built into the motherboard chipset, and windows should pick it up on its own. IF you reinstall make sure any data is saved as it would be lost otherwise.

I'll download the iso suggested by wainuitech.
