1381317 2014-08-10 00:44:00 The biggest, brightest super-moon of the year will be rising just after sunset on Monday – but those really keen to see it can drag themselves out of bed before dawn tomorrow morning.

That's when the moon is actually closet to earth – at 5.44am – with full moon at 6.10am.

More HERE (www.sunlive.co.nz).

Lunacy will prevail on Monday! :clap

1381319 2014-08-10 02:47:00 No, already reports are coming in that a "Worker" has been found among the "Drones" in the Beehive. :D B.M. (505)
1381320 2014-08-10 03:05:00 I thought a Super Moon meant we were going to be treated to a bit of traditional culture.
Luckily, a different moon.

1381321 2014-08-11 00:17:00 It looked super bright last night - although I struggled to see any difference in size. Perhaps I needed to find my micronometer. Greg (193)
1381322 2014-08-11 00:57:00 Well what a fizzer! :crying

There I was out of bed this morning, camera at ready, and all I got was a very ordinary Full Moon. :(

Dahhh, I was in Aussie a few years ago when there was one and it was scary. It was huge and looked like it was coming into land, but this one, epic fail.

Well, I guess I got the lunacy part right. Getting out of bed in the freezing cold for that. :D

1381323 2014-08-11 01:34:00 Me as well BM. A bit of haze didn't help. I think the best thing is to head to the coast at moonrise tonight. If the weather is OK, that is what I shall be doing. Weather cracking up though.
