The system you appose is the same system that made those countries shine above the others. But alas it seems due to greed it's time has come. We should start looking towards Scandinavia. |

The Nordic Model has its attractions, but it would mean you would have to continue your move leftwards Cic, (could you cope with that ?), especially with more extensive welfare state, much higher taxes and the governments spending around 50% and more of GDP. Still they are regarded as being among the world's happiest nations en.wikipedia.org Then there is Germany and Switzerland to consider. |

I'll bet the greeks were pretty happy 5-10 years ago :p Interestingly, the ruskies were considering the Nordic model at one stage. |
