1392704 2015-01-23 22:45:00 I have a problem with the caching of videos, MP4, U Tube etc.
The caching barely keeps ahead of the playing causing it to stop to catch up. Sometimes it will not continue until I give it a nudge.
This is on VDSL coming in at 14 Mbps. I have fitted a new Draytek modem. Both computers on W7 do it on all Browsers.

The Mad thing is that if I use my Skinny phone as a modem it comes in at 1 Mbps, but the caching keeps well ahead of the playing, and often gets to the end well before the playing is finished.

How can I make the Browsers keep caching? It has been suggested that the Browser senses a fast connection and reduces the cache size. I have plenty of free space so how to just keep on caching? Why does the slower cell phone perform better?

1392705 2015-01-24 05:06:00 14mbits is a very low line speed for a VDSL connection. However youtube should be fine.
some questions

I Assume you have the master splitter filter setup? when installed

What line sync stats and error levels does your router say?

Are your pc connected using Wifi? or ethernet?

What does speedtest.net say?

What are you using in the way of firewalls and virus scanning? Make sure both pcs are fully scanned

Are you trying to view in AUTO resolution (youtube gear setting)?

1392706 2015-01-24 09:14:00 I can keep the cache loading by selecting High definition in You Tube, but have not found a way yet for the others.
The maximum setting for the WiFi adapter receive buffer is 512, I am looking for a way to increase it.
