| 1380887 | 2014-08-05 02:21:00 | Not the 1st time Synology NAS's got hacked hackerattacks.einnews.com I guess the lessons learnt are - make sure you have the latest firmware - put the devices behind a firewall & dont open up ports for a backup device - any device that has ports open to the internet has some risk. This includes IP cameras, security cameras, modem/routers,DVR's You have to wonder the wisdom of giving access via the internet to backup devices. |
