W98 cant really be configured to the point of 100 percent stabilty (unless you ditch programs known to create issues,but even then, no garentee, I considered 98 to be pretty stable untill XP proved otherwise) but you can get 99 percent of the way their if your hardware isn't faulty. Two thirds of stability issues will be caused either by items in the startup, or the user trying to push through tasks while the machine is already strugling like crazy to keep its head above water (provided your hardware is in good shape) |
