403938 2005-11-13 23:27:00 Another thing about forwarded e's...get rid of those little <<<<<< and >>>>>>>>'s with this neat utility first...nobody likes to see all those little arrows in the body...

You have the option of removing the > in OE.

Go to options / send / plain text settings.

Untick indent the original text with >

403939 2005-11-14 00:55:00 Bill Gates will not give you $10000 for forwarding an email to all of your friends.
There is no such thing as "email tracking software" that can determine how many times you forwarded an email.
A cool video will not play when you forward that email either.
If you don't send that email to 20 friends, you aren't a desperate loser.
If it came via email and it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
If all else fails, check Snopes (http://www.snopes.com).

Doesn't that just stop them from being added when YOU forward an email? I think the utility mentioned strips them out when you have received an email from someone else with 10 on every line of text . .

403941 2005-11-14 02:24:00 I recommend the email stripper.
I think most people who send with >> and a lot of email Addie's don't know how to change.

403942 2005-11-14 03:55:00 pressing <ctrl>+<enter> after typing something into the address bar in a browser adds http://www. to the beginning and .com at the end.
That's brilliant. Very impressed.

403946 2005-11-14 21:50:00 Tip #4- When your forced to "fix" a family members PC, make sure they wait their turn in the que, they all think they can leap frog ahead.Make them wait, Then give them a bill.

This will cause a couple of interesting developments.

They will get ****ty at you, Which is excellent.

They will try and work their little issues out themselves before treating you like a 50 times a day helpdesk.

They will perhaps take it elsewhere next time, which is also excellent (a family member of mine whose comp was full of spyware took it elsewhere, and the "tech" replaced the harddrive and ghosted over the munted XP install......$400 dollars and the comp is worse then ever....LMFAO.....Then, because they considered I had wronged them they spat the dummy and bought a warehouse Dell.....Then they ring me a month later to try and nut out why their Dell goes just as slow as the comp they replaced.....I laughed and laughed and laughed and told them to ring the Dell Helpline....)

403947 2005-11-14 23:30:00 Tip 4 should also be extended to any flatmate's PC as well.

I don't "help" anyone anymore because you end up getting accused of being the source of any further problems. Just touching the keyboard is enough :angry
