| 404028 | 2005-11-13 01:09:00 | All my photos on both mny desktop and laptop are in a folder off the C drive, I have called MY PHOTOS. No problem - but both computers are running XP and both set up for the screensaver to use MY PICTURES SLIDESHOW. Works fine on the desktop (XP prof) but on the laptop XP home) just tells me there are no photos in C:\My Photos. The notice works fine itself as a screen saver changing its postion constantly but I would like to have it doing what it should. Suggestions please Tom |

| 404030 | 2005-11-13 03:17:00 | Thanks PCTEK. Yes I think that would probably work but I have my own way of doing things -being DOS trained I have stuck to what is familiar and avoided using the latest methods that I personally find too confusing, and tricky to backup. However I did delete the folder MY PHOTOS and then reinstalled it from a backup. Now it works perfectly. I assume the folder must have been corrupted in some mionor way that only affected the screensaver. Nice to see it working OK again. But I agree I should be looking at switching to the methods set out in XP - after all I am sure the MS people were actually trying to make things more logical. (Or were they?) Tom |
