404739 2005-11-15 23:04:00 I have just had installed a dvd burner, MSI can't read anything else on it. I am going to install Nero. Now my question is, is there anything I should know about copying/burning dvds, or is it similar to my old cd burner? I don't' want to muck things up so best I ask here.
TIA
Ooops, sorry, op sys XP sp2 running 512 ram, Amd Athlon 2400.

404740 2005-11-15 23:07:00 Well, most dvds are protected so cant normally be copied. As is.

Even with Nero.

BUT, we better not discuss how to in the forum. It maybe against the rules.

404741 2005-11-15 23:59:00 When you fire up Nero make sure you pick the correct drive you want to burn to, and the correct format before adding data, Its in a drop down list at the top of the program.

Be aware that the one drive may show up four times (2 of which dont even write to cd/dvd but to your harddrive...)

Check the pic.

404742 2005-11-16 09:13:00 Thanks for that Metla, knowing my luck, I would of picked the wrong one, or had to come on here and ask .

Speedy, I wanted to try and use old music dvds, save them to my puter, and make up my own composition type music ones, so guess it only costs me one dvd if I can't make it work . LOL

404743 2005-11-16 20:38:00 First thing to do is go to Nero home page in case of any updated version to what you had installed. I found an updated version 6.6.0.16 and was more stable.
Best of luck.

If you're in Auckland, I could burn 6 . 6 . 0 . 18 of Nero and 3 . 1 . 0 . 21 of Nerovision for you .

As well as the help files, the extras (backgrounds, I think) for Nerovision, and the Nerovision 3 patch . 146mb in total .

Only thing is, if you haven't got a serial, for either, they'll run out / expire .
