404313 2005-11-14 19:57:00 Hi guys

Me son recently re-installed XP on his P42Ghz PC (60GB HD). Unfortunately, when you start up, XP does not boot right through to the desktop screen, but stops halfway to give you an option to choose between Windows XP boot or Windows XP setup. I do not know where he went wrong. Any easy way to fix this?

Thanks

404316 2005-11-14 20:22:00 Have you tried both startup options to see if there's just a setting you can change? Greg (193)
404317 2005-11-14 20:36:00 The one option is the normal XP Home Ed startup, taking you to the normal desktop screen. The setup option takes you into the wild yonder, and I've tried to see whether there is a box I can tick, no luck. Will try again but would appreciate any other ideas.
