| 404299 | 2005-11-14 01:38:00 | All Seagates have a 5 year warranty unless you buy it from Supercheap. Then it has a 2 minute warranty like everything they sell. | pctek (84) | ||
| 404300 | 2005-11-14 02:45:00 | Casual observation: I love it how everyone desperate for a scapegoat ever since The PC Company fell over is just creaming themselves over every opportunity to see how terrible they can make SuperCheapPC look. Which company will be the villains of the story this time next year, I wonder? |

| 404301 | 2005-11-14 03:11:00 | I have an external USB 2.0 enclosure like this and an IDE 160GB hard drive and it works well for me. My set-up would be very similar to what you are looking at. Just make sure you have USB 2.0 otherwise the transfer rates will be very slow! And as for SuperCheap - I have used them and found their service to be fine and product as reliable as any other I have bought (but then I have not had to make a warranty claim or the like yet!). Just my 2c. |

| 404302 | 2005-11-14 03:21:00 | Hello I have a similar machine in a Pleiades enclosure (which has an own little stand)and it works very well. I use it for image backup. The HDD is a 120 GB Western Digital, though the new internal is also a 200 Gb Baracuda all in top condition(touch wood) so far. Gion |
