404451 2005-11-15 03:53:00 Hey, I want to upgrade and buy more ram, but i wanna buy it over the net probally from usa as its a hell of alot cheaper even with the cost of sending it over seas and vat and all that stuff, i noticed that there are different voltages of ram that you can buy, 2.6 and 2.4 i think they were, i am wondering how i can check the voltage my ram is, or maybe will it even make a difference if i mix the two voltages as they are very small differences. Its 512 DDR Ram pc3200 that i am looking for.

Thanks Etnies.

404455 2005-11-15 07:20:00 Ram is not cheaper in the US. Ram is not worth bringing in at all, its a "bit cheaper". NZ $69.21 for 512 DDR 400 for no thrills generic.

404456 2005-11-15 09:08:00 Welcome to PF1 Etnies.

Perhaps it might help settle everybody down and get some focus on the real issues if you tell us how much RAM you want, why it is needed (you might have enough already and have different problem altogether) what spec is needed and how much it costs to buy it in Ireland.

It might even be cheaper to buy it here and get it airmailed over, there's no reason why not.

It is much more helpful if you are specific about your needs Etnies, like telling us what mobo you have so we know what type of RAM it needs, even if you don't know yourself. There is no point in spending money if you don't get what you need, or need what you get.

Cheers

P.S. You are not a rugby fan I hope? The All Blacks had a field-day on the weekend. :D

How did he post a message, and then edit it without showing up the "last edited . . etc" thingy at the bottom?

Etnies: D/L Everest (google it), and it will tell you what voltage your ram runs at . Mine says 2 . 5 so don't think it makes much difference . Don't hold me to that though .
