im thinking along the lines of this (supercheappc.biz) and this (supercheappc.biz).

404291 2005-11-13 23:19:00 Yes, Im asking about the warrenty now.... but i thought i read somewhere that all Seagates had a 5 year warrenty, just not sure though....

How reliable are these? or should i go for a different brand?

404293 2005-11-13 23:23:00 Ok then.

404294 2005-11-13 23:33:00 I havent got any external USB enclosures (YET), so have no idea how good they are.

I use seagates here. 1 80GB ide and 1 SATA. On one PC and 2 20 GB's on the other.

Never had a prob with these either (YET).

I've heard Western Digital are pretty crappy.

So, whatever u do, dont buy these.

Generally Seagate have a 5 year cover, Whether the ones sold by your vendor of choice do I cannot say, By the price they maynot have sourced them through any official channel so whose to say apart from them?

Contact the vendor and ask.
