is there anyway this could be done?

Or if they exist.

Since USB 1.1 cant be upgraded/updated with software. To get USB 2.

Or something like this

At just under $60 if you searched around a local computer store they can probably get it cheaper, now you know what you're looking for. You're laptop should have PCMCIA slot in it, hopefully its not already in use!
