| 405491 | 2005-11-19 18:13:00 | Hi all, just wondering if there is somebody out there who can help me with this one: On my home computer (hp pavillion 453), came up with a problem a few days ago that i have not been able to solve. Computer starts normally until arriving at the xp logon screen and i try to input password to logon. Password is duly entered but instead of a successful logon, i have received the following message: 'domain name ****** (my domain name) unavailble'. As cannot fully logon to xp cannot at the moment diagnose where the problem is. As far as i can tell i am definitely inputting the correct password, and i have no recollection of it being changed. Any thoughts/solutions out there?? Best Regards, scoobydoo! |

At the login prompt, try clicking on the >>Options button and see if you can select local computer rather than domain to log on with. If the machine is networked in a domain, then make sure your network cable is plugged in and shows a green lan light. |
