| 406713 | 2005-11-23 00:56:00 | I am buying a cheap and functional laptop. It is a choice between the Dell Inspiron 2200 CEL 1.3-2 at the Warehouse ($975) and the ACER 3003LC at DSE for $948. I am not sure whether the Dell has a DVD burner/writer. It says that it has a Philips CDRW/DVD SCB 5265. The notebook will used for playing CIV, Creating word docs and spreadsheets. | 406714 | 2005-11-23 01:18:00 | Hi GWord7, and welcome to PressF1. I have the next model up from the Acer one - Acer 3002WLMi, and I'm very happy with it. To the best of my knowledge, the Warehouse one has a DVD Reader/CD writer drive, which is the same as the Acer laptop. Based on what you're intending to do with it, both laptops would be suitable for what you want to do. I don't know if they would run CIV too well though. It's well worth looking around - there are lots of cheap laptops on the market at the moment. |
