This is what I'm planning to do: Connect the ethernet modem to this Wireless Router (games.dlink.com), which will then allow a lapotop with a built in Wi-Fi card to access the internet. Then I will buy a Wireless USB adaptor (games.dlink.com) and plug it into the desktop PC, which should let that computer access the internet as well. I also intend to have the printer connected to the desktop PC and wondered if the laptop would also be able to print using it. Finally I plan to connect an Xbox up to the router, using an ethernet cable (straight), which should enable the Xbox to connect to the internet. Seeing as I know very little about networking I was wondering if you guys could tell me if this setup would work, allowing the 2 computers to access the internet wirelessly, the Xbox to access the internet using a cable, and for the laptop to share the desktop PCs printer without cables? Thanks in advance |
